Cooperation Project 1

In this unit, I participated in two different interdisciplinary cooperation projects. The first project is an animation project completed in cooperation with professional animation creators, in which I am mainly responsible for sound design and the construction of sound narrative structure. The project explores memory, family space and emotional perception through realistic SFX, spatial atmosphere and time sound design.

Although this animation project will not be submitted as a formal creative response in the end, I still choose to record it in the blog because it is an important part of my interdisciplinary practice in this unit. This project has helped me develop my understanding of sound narrative, spatial construction and cross-media cooperation, and also allowed me to constantly adjust my voice method and work logic in the process of cooperation.

In addition, I also participated in the second film-related cooperation project with CSM students. In this project, I further explored the sound design in the context of the film, and began to think about the rhythm and narrative function of the sound in the live-action image.

Participating in two different forms of cooperation at the same time also allows me to compare the different roles of sound in animation and live-action. I gradually realized that the method of sound design needs to be adjusted according to the narrative structure, visual language, rhythm and production process. Therefore, these two projects have had an important impact on my creative practice and cooperation experience in this unit.
