This week I focused on my study of the modular synthesiser, I experimented with various wiring connections to create sound pieces. In one of the attempts a rain soundscape was created, accompanied by birdsong and raindrops hitting a rubber shed Below are the study notes.

VCOOscillator – generates sound
VCFFilter – shapes the tone
VCAAmplifier – controls volume
LFOSlow wave – for modulation
EnvelopeShapes sound over time (e.g. ADSR)
MixerCombines signals
SequencerPlays notes or patterns
Noise/RandomAdds randomness or static

VCO → VCF → VCA → Output

Rain Sound:

White Noise → VCA (controlled by random trigger) → Filter → Output

simple melody:
Sequencer → Quantizer → VCO

Clock source controls rhythm
