In radio aporee, I chose to listen to a recording from wani public tennis court and athletic ground in Japan. It is very interesting, the recording includes the sounds of children playing, crows talking, traffic, movement, wind. Close your eyes and listen as if you were there, bouncing around a tennis ball on a summer day in 2018. Beads of sweat, the smell of suntan lotion.
Besides, I randomly clicked on some filed recordings of some places on the satellite map to listen to it.These sound works give me a sense of being on the ground, indirectly showing the culture, the life of a region through a piece of audio.This inspires me a lot and encourages me to try to explain some cultures with sound art, or just let the listener enjoy a hard-to-experience journey through time and space.
